From October 11th to 15th, 2023, the Alliance Française d'Accra was transformed into a vibrant canvas for the inaugural Her Expressed art exhibition. This groundbreaking event, spearheaded by the Radiant Girl Africa Foundation, aimed to spotlight the exceptional talents of African female artists while championing the importance of STEAM education for young girls.
Empowering Through Art
The exhibition showcased the works of eight talented artists from across Africa, offering a diverse tapestry of creativity and expression. By providing a platform for these women to share their stories and passions, Her Expressed aimed to inspire the next generation of artists and innovators.
A key component of the event was its alignment with the International Day of the Girl Child, emphasizing the importance of empowering young women and girls to reach their full potential. Through the exhibition, we sought to create a supportive community that celebrates their achievements and encourages them to pursue their artistic dreams.
A Vision for the Future
Her Expressed is more than just an exhibition; it's a movement. We aspire to make it an annual tradition, fostering a growing platform for African female artists and inspiring countless young girls to explore the world of art and science.
